1. Agreement to Terms
Trivia Tribe ("the Company", "we", "us" or "our") provides the Trivia Tribe participant mobile application (the "App"). By accessing and using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. This App is provided for the purpose of participating in hosted quiz events.
2. User Conduct & Fair Play
To maintain a fun and fair environment, you agree:
- To provide a Team Name that is appropriate and not offensive, defamatory, or infringing on any third-party rights.
- Not to attempt to bypass, disable, or manipulate the App’s security or its background-monitoring features.
- That the App may track "background/foreground" or "inactivity" status to ensure quiz integrity, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
3. Intellectual Property
All quiz content, questions, and App software are the property of the Company or the respective Host. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App solely for the duration of the quiz session.
4. No Warranties & Limitation of Liability
- "As-Is" Basis: The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Technical Issues: The Company is not responsible for any loss of data, scores, or connectivity issues caused by your device, internet connection, or third-party service providers.
- Quiz Results: All decisions made by the Quiz Host regarding scoring, timing, and disqualifications are final. The Company is not liable for any disputes arising from the outcome of the quiz.
5. Termination
The Company reserves the right to terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other participants.
6. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from the use of this App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
